Thanks for the video! The quietness of the GS450h is so truly astounding, it's scary.

Is it a good idea to have a car that quiet? IMO, you need a small amount of white-noise to mask the normal sounds of a car. No matter how well Lexus builds the GS/LS cabin, there will be plenty of squeaks and rattles to take notice of without an engine running.

Any current hybrid owners have an opinion on this?

Squeaks or rattles usually happen (if it does) is at higher speeds, and that is when the gas engine is on

I've drive several different types of hybrids at low speeds and haven't experienced squeaks or rattles

My dog's nut sack has more space than your SC430 so it's no wonder the GS450h will seem very spacious for ya!

Hmmm ... I think your dog has a problem, he needs to see a vet

With the GS450h, at least I can have a couple friends ride with me, whereas right now, I usually have to ride with them in their sedans/SUV in certain rare occasions lol

well you can say that's the "problem" with lexus. personally i tend to hear more squeak in the lexus, but taht's coz' the car is just too damn quiet. compared to the mb and bmw i have driven, lexus are just way too quiet. you start to notice everything else

I haven't read all the replies here, but if the GS460 does sub 5's 0-60, then I will trade in my IS350 for a GS460 instead of an IS500.

Yep, even still... Sub 5's is fast enough for me and the added back seat space as well as maintaing 4 door convienience is enough to sway me.

Speaking of the GS460... Will it get the 8 speed gearbox in the LS460?

Saw the new 'text-heavy' ads for the 450h in magazines, it's definitely a 'Lexus Synergy Drive'..nice!
