We'll just have to agree to disagree, future sales will provide the answer partially when the new GS & ES comes out. What we think now really won't matter.
It's just opinions anyway, there's no way to prove exactly what % of buyers of what model is going from what brand/model to another brand/model, or how many of the potential buyers are waiting for the new model. But the general trend has always been observed to be : when models are to be replaced, their sales will be down for at least several months. Information do get spread around quicker nowadays than before.

Shouldn't they have dropped the IS 300 designation in their sales charts by now? Anyhow, Lexus is doing quite well...I'd like to see more sales for the GS, to challenge the E and 5, but perhaps the new engines will help.
I still think Lexus needs to boost its performance image even more...a unifying concept between the IS and GS, perhaps via a GT performance division, or the LF-A etc...

So what I am saying, is, Lexus is limiting production of what to them, is an old model, as the new one is around the corner.
Even Rockville stated, Lexus GS 430s are special orders in the NE, this is probably a nationwide thing.
