I honestly can not think of another "single" car that would work better for me at this point in my life.
and seriously, i don't think the 550 has a chance against the m5 in any speed?

The M5 has 23 more lb-ft of torque but it occurs at 6,100 RPM vs. 3,400 RPM for the 550. So in the 0-35-0 drive I do to work every day, 95% of the time I'm down low in the revs and right in the sweet spot of the engine (torque wise) - as opposed to the M5 which loves to (and needs to) rev. So in my world (must have fun car, must seat four comfortably, must handle good, must perform well on my commute, etc.), there is no single car better for me than the 550.

As long as we are talking about cars we can afford, I would get RX400h, with smart entry that is. Such an beautiful piece of SUV and engineering.

I'm a little nicer than him (j/k Steve) so I will go easy on you
Seriously, the number of cylinders has nothing to do with the torque -it is the size of the motor - specifically the stroke. Wanna guess which motor has a longer stroke? I'll give ya a hint, it is the 4.8L in the 550. The M5 however is a tuned beast and at 6,100 RPM it has more torque.
Regarding your comment about the V6 engine, I'm not sure exactly what you are talking about - but you shouldn't make statements like that because they are not true. I'm sure some V6 engines can make 90% of their torque at less that 2,000 RPM but not all do.
Anyway, I'll just sum it up this way, I drove both cars, and for my driving habits, the 550 was the perfect car for me. That was the question here right?
