Huh? The article says Fit starts at $13,850. How's that '$2k more' than 'above $13k'?

I have driven this vehicle and the Yaris (the Fit is a little bit ahead in my comparison here in Mexico where they are alreday available, but both are nothing to write home about.

There is another vehicle, the Hyundai Atos, which kicks both of them for the price.

it needs rims... a body kit... to be lowered... tinted... a few more gerbils under the hood to make it go... and about 2k off the price.

But let's not forget that these are MSRP. People may be able to get it lower depending on their haggling skills...
There's a reason the Fit costs more. Even though I have not yet driven either car, just from looks alone and interior quality the Fit is probably worth more than the Yaris. The Yaris has an excellent paint job but the rest of the car IMO is not that impressive. The Fit trumps it, especially in interior materials quality.

The Fit is not really in the same class as the Matrix. The Matrix ( and its twin the Pontiac Vibe) is definitely more upscale, is primarily aimed at different buyers, and includes semi-high performance and AWD versions.

i'm a toyota person (as my sig.) but i think i'm liking this compared to yaris, i've seen this fit in the phils. skyline blue with mugen kit (te-37, bronze) and to me it looks awesome, both fit and yaris IMO is girly-girl cars but if u fix up this fit it'll look very nice unlike yaris... it just don't have that many options to make it look nicer.

still love toyota...

Reasonably priced between the xA and the xB and with a much better looking interior but a rather minivan-ish exterior, it should do very well for people who want a cheap, conventional and practical transportation.
