The black disguised car looks pretty good and it may have potential. Those blue computer images don't look good at all and will dissapoint M3 fans. Unfortunately the interior is going to pretty much be the same as the current 3 series which I am not a fan of at all. The E46 interior was much nicer. I have a bad feeling BMW is going to charge a huge markup over the last M3 which was already expensive for this new v-8 M3 and prices will be close to or at 60K if not well over for loaded models. The twin turbo model is probrably going to be priced well over 50K so who knows how much more BMW is going to charge for the new M3.

I gather the new M3 will be priced no less than a hair under $60k. But I would bet on $65k. In that price point, there are waaaaaaaaay too many other nice vehicles. I understand the whole "German Engineering" blah-blah-blah Sports Sedan and all, but I personally would take a Z06 or a pre-owed E55 or even the upcoming Infiniti GTR (450hp Twin-Turbo with eta stats to match or better the current 996 TT).

V8 for all-new M3
A new version of one of the world's best-selling high-performance car is preparing for action - and we have the pictures that prove it. Only one week ago, we revealed for the very first time spy photos of the all-new BMW M3 Coupe. And now our spies have caught the car testing at the German Nurburgring and the saloon in northern Sweden. The next-generation M3 is the first V8-engined 3-Series, and offers 400 bhp - so expect it to race from 0-100 km/h in a fraction over five seconds, and go on to a limited top speed of 250 km/h. Power will be fed to the rear wheels via a six speed manual gearbox or the latest SMG sequential manual, possibly with seven ratios. The new car should maintain the M3's reputation for outstanding handling. The V8 will be more compact than the current in-line six cylinder model, while a longer wheelbase will help with weight distribution. Externally, the car takes many cues from the M5, with twin-exit exhausts, front wing vents and discreet 'M' badges, while the look of the all-new 3-Series means an aggressive nose and deeply sculpted flanks. Expect to see the M3 in showrooms at the end of 2006. It will come in saloon, coupe, cabrio and estate guise.
