Default 2008 Cadillac STS Spy Shots (update)

The Cadillac STS has a facelift in the works, likely for the 2008 model year. The big four-door gets a new, Escalade-inspired grille treatment, with a more detailed chrome treatment and a subdued mesh grille. The STS's new face looks much lighter and more expressive than the current model's - a subtle but effective update. New taillights ditch the full red lenses, in favor of styled LED lamps that complement the STS's chiseled lines. The clear lenses have only a sliver of red reflector at the inside edges, but separate vertical LED strips glow red (braking) or orange (turn signals) in a truly eye-catching display. It appears that two additional reflective red strips have been added between the tailpipes, but it's unclear whether this is a final production application, or merely a safety add-on for testing purposes. We expect similar updates to be applied to the CTS and SRX models, to tighten up Cadillac's revamped family look.

Not bad. I'm one of few that likes the Cadillac lineup (minus the Escalade and the XLR). I drove an STS V8 and it was pretty impressive

Its okay. IMO the STS just isnt a strong contender against the E, 5, GS, A6, M cars. Very expensive when loaded up too and not offering anything significant to the table.

I think the current STS is a great looking car, the best of the art and science. I also think the interior is no better than the LAST STS, which is sad. I think it has great powertrains and engines but is overpriced.

And great, Altezzas on a Cadillac.

i haven't driven the STS but I think the CTS-V is something to talk about.. Its pretty much a sleeper wit h400 HP on tap... Not to shabby for a caddy..

I actually like the way the CTS and STS drive, but I find the styling to be absolutely hideous. I hope those Altezzas don't make production!

The Cadillac STS will be undergoing a mild facelift for the 2007 model year, and we've caught a very good example of the changes. The STS shown here is powered by a 3.6-litre High Feature V6, and now sports an Escalade-style grille and euro-style tail lights. Expect to see this freshened STS at dealerships this coming autumn.

That, and I'm still not a fan of the typical American tri-tone interior. To have a gray headliner with tan interior and wood trim is one thing, but if you're going to use different colors in the interior, PLEASE do a better job at separating the two on a part that's NOT right at the eyes (I'm referring mainly to the steering wheel here)

The interior looks wack Jack!

How can Cadillac claim to be one Amercia's great luxury brands with that? Have the
designers at Cadillac ever sat in a luxury car before or are they making things up as
the go along.

Americans demand better.

Nope....couldn't disagree more. The STS has what I currently consider a better interior than any other American-nameplate vehicle...though some of the new upcoming Lincoln interiors not quite ready yet may surpass it.
