Congrats!!!

Once you are familiar with the car and if you have the opportunity to take it to the track, DO IT. You will be in awe even more. One warning though, the grin will probably stay on permanently.

Congragulations on your S2000. While, like the Miata, it is obviously not a car for big, tall people or for long Interstate trips, it can be a blast on uncongested winding roads.
The main thing on these cars is to keep the oil and filter changed. Because the 2.2 L VTEC four has little low-end torque ( or even high-end torque for that matter ) you have to wind the engine out to insane RPM levels to get up into the max HP band. ( redline, depending on year and model, is 8000-9000 RPM and most models have torque peaks from 6600-7600 and HP peaks past 8000 ) . So, obviously, do that enough times and it can break down even today's high-quality SL and SM-grade oils and gel them up or cook them. If you are going to drive this car aggressively you may want to consider synthetic oil...... something I don't recommend for most people, at least in mild-climate areas, most of the time, but I will in your case.

Congratulations on the fun-car purchase! Gotta love that high-revving VTEC engine and soft top!

Any huge plans? Both of my buddies are going to go FI. One of them is going to get the comptech supercharger, while the other one is waiting on the prototype twin-root blower.

Another soon to be s2k owner will get the lovefab turbo setup. 340whp with insanely low boost.

best motoring claims the S2000 can match the NSX's cornering speed, s2000s torque curve is one of the flatest out there

congrats man, very very nice car, one that i wanted to own a while ago as a toy car. people say it's tons of fun

the s2k indeed is very close to nsx from a lot of reviews i read. it's still below the nsx in terms of power, accel, and handling, but it's very close from what i read
