A prototype of the next-generation Audi TT reportedly crashed on a snowy roadway during testing in Germany, possibly resulting in the deaths of a driver and passenger. According to an unconfirmed report, a special Audi unit retrieved the car from the crash site within 20 minutes. The new model is expected to be introduced at the New York show next month.

Do they not have those lower gaurds on trucks in Europe? You'd think by the 21st century they would have finally gotten around to implementing one of the easiest and simplest life-saving devices ever.

The article sadly stated that both the driver and passenger were both killed.
What is a truck doing along side of a test track anyway? Shouldn't the track be totally clear if you're doing high speed testing in the snow?

Vegas, I don't think it was a test track but just a test drive out in the snow.
Just wondering but how would it be possible for Audi to remove the car 20 minutes after a fatal crash?
The passenger sounds looks fine to me....
