Cadillac is poised to unleash a significantly more dramatic interpretation of its "Art & Science" design language when the 2008 CTS hits the market, and it will be a real visual stunner.

The steeply raked windshield and taillight give the car a coupe-like feel, with a stout, powerful stance. More pronounced wheel arches merge with a sharply chiseled waistline, giving the new car a lot of "edge," both literally and figuratively.

The ground effects, character lines, and trim have been simplified for a cleaner, less cluttered look than today's CTS. Some elements of the new CTS's design seem evolutionary, while other design touches border on revolutionary for GM's top brand.

Inside, the car is reported to get a similarly clean interior theme - less blocky than today's car. The CTS's interior has always been considered one of its chief shortcomings, but for the 2008 CTS the passenger environment will be improved considerably.

Great job, caddy. Looks like what an Infiniti interior should be

Just have to say that is some of the better camouflaging I've seen done. Really hides the lines of the nose well.

Cadillac's CTS sedan will be new for the 2008 model year. The next-generation CTS will be built on GM's rear-wheel-drive Sigma platform. This prototype, photographed at Germany 's famous Nürburgring racetrack, gives a look at the dramatic styling of the new CTS.

Despite the checkerboard tape over the car's front end, one can clearly see the bold lines and massive grille of the new CTS, showing a family resemblance to the latest Cadillac Escalade. A peek inside the open side window gives a look at the interior of the new CTS.

The new CTS is expected to go on sale in late 2007 as a 2008 model.

The IS taillights were supposed to be that thin, but horizontal, not vertical. And look at what turned out...

I think the CTS will be a little more conservative that these concept pics.

The interior shots are a little fuzzy on my computer but, even so, it is obvious that it is a major improvement over the original CTS. The original interior, IMO, was a joke.

Read my mind, seems the G35 and CTS are going from the worst crap in class to pretty decent.

I think it looks very good

I am TIRED of the SUV SIZE grills on CARS

I absolutely love the way this car is turning out, and it is exactly what Cadillac needs. However, I still would never buy a Cadillac. Just too "old person's car" for me, if that makes any sense.

I was thinking today, Cadillac could really improve their image if they changed their logo and font?
