Indeed, Toyota is gaining a reputation that GM once had of being arrogant. The view is that Toyota seems to have the attitude that it can do no wrong and bristles at any criticism.

1. Look at the earth approach of high gas mileage and hybrids. They also are willing to share this tech.
2. Toyota takes its time and expands. THis is not an overnight thing. Been 50 years in the making.
3. They have said their quality is a big concern and they want to ensure they keep it a top job.
They are HUMBLE is anything. When u read Toyota or Lexus press releases (which aren't many), they never bash or bring up competitors and are humble in approach.
