They'll either walk, ride a bike, hitch hike, catch a ride with a friend, take the train or take the bus.

This is the only reason American car companies are staying alive.

There's still a good percentage of Americans who will only buy American.

If purchases were purily based on product, why would anyone buy an American car?

American Pickups? Maybe. Even our SUV's can't really standup to Japan's offerings anymore.

It's a good thing there's still American brand loyalty or we'd have some serious economic problems.

funny thing is japanese companies are providing MORE and more SECURE jobs than the domestics right now, so much for supporting domestic

Not even clear what 'buying a domestic' really means any longer. Ford and GM have sold cars in the U.S. that they make elsewhere. Chrysler is DaimlerChrysler, is it really a 'domestic' any longer? And finally, a Camry made in Kentucky of primarily U.S. made parts - sounds pretty domestic to me!
