If I want a REAL fun car, I'd pick a Porsche over all of above

If my kid's car seats fit in the back, I'd be in a 650 right now. The car turns heads. Not with CL members of course, just everyone else

I don't think anyone can deny it turns heads.

M6 is an awesome machine, but still a little too heavy to be a real sports car, it's still more of a GT compared to the Porsche.
The 997 & the Cayman are lighter & more nimble, depends on what you're looking for . . .

yup, i agree it depends on what you looking for. i am pretty sure the 911s is an awesome car (drove it before) and might be able to take on the m6 good on curves

but then again, i agree i look for more (as a whole package) in a car, probably that's why i would choose the m6

Default Convertible Coupe Maximus: Open-top Version of V10-powered BMW M6 Spotted

Just as BMW’s maximum performance coupe, the V10-powered M6 with the lightweight carbon fiber roof, is hitting U.S. dealers, enthusiasts are already looking ahead to the next mega-M: the 2007 M6 convertible.

While BMW has yet to officially acknowledge the M6 drop-top is coming, these photos prove it exists, and our sources confirm the car is on the way to the U.S. market.

We expect the M6 convertible will bow at this September’s Paris motor show, with U.S. sales to follow shortly thereafter.

Look for the M6 cabrio to run the same powertrain as the coupe: a 5.0-liter, 500-hp, 383-lb-ft V10 matched to a seven-speed sequential manual gearbox.

BMW’s biggest challenge with the convertible will be maintaining a rigid structure in a soft-top while keeping curb weight restrained within reasonable range of the hardtop’s 3909 pounds.

For those potential M6 buyers who would rather push a clutch and do their own shifting, BMW confirms a six-speed manual transmission is on the way for the M5 this fall, and will be carried in the M6 coupe next spring.

We have every reason to believe BMW will also offer the manual gearbox in the M6 convertible at that time.

STUPID STUPID STUPID.
If I'm paying 80K+ for a M car and getting a convertible it's sure as hell not going to be a soft top.

Kind of agree. The coupe looks much better than the ragtop IMHO.

I think they are both beautiful. However, I've always had a challenge buying into an M product that was a convertible. Seems wrong to get one of the better handling cars out there and then mess with the structure of it. Make mine the coupe, that will be just fine

For this kind of price tag, I'd definately get the SL.

The Lexus SC is nice, but if I were to buy a luxury convertible, I'd take the SL.

Of course when the LF-A concept car becomes reality, that changes everything. But didn't they say LF-A would be $120,000+?

The pictures speaks for themselves.
Cool Pics and Sig. Me, I'd take all 3 Coupes/convertibles from the Big 3.

I think it's poll time!!!

For myself, I'd take the SL over the 6 or SC. I also like the design of the XLR, and would probably choose that second. Would I ever own a MB or Caddy? Not really. But if I chose design over anything else, the SL and XLR would be my choices. The Maserati Spyder is also a contender for me in this race.

The 6 is a great coupe but design-wise, it does not excite me. I think it would be excellent as a hardtop. It's good that BMW has enough loyal customers and enthusiast bystanders to herald it as the coupe to have.
