Another Damaged Lexus....
So Friday night I was in Columbus, Ohio visiting a few friends. My car was parked on 16th Ave. Anyways the next morning when going out to grab a bite to eat, we drive up 16th Ave. in my friends car to find my car smashed in with parts laying all over the ground. Like everyone else I get that really sick feeling, and all I can think is someone did a hit and run now I have to eat the insurance cost. Well after pulling over and checking out the car there is a note from the Columbus Police saying a drunk driver was arrested after hitting my car at 12:50am. Huge relief!!! The damage isn't great enough to total the car (I wish!). Both wheels have scraches on them, and the back bumper is half gone, along with the corner panel is dented in about 2 inchs, tailight broke, and the front fender was clipped just enough to show a bit of damage, then there all scuffs all the way up the side of the car. What makes the story suck even more is this happend on the 8th, and I still haven't been able to get the police reports since the officer decided not to turn them in before she took 2 days off. So I have to wait till at least Thursday to even get the reports to start making claims, hoping that the person who hit me even has insurance.
Here is just a quick picture of the major damage on the back corner of the car.
I will def be figthing this as much as possible to have everything replaced with Lexus Certified parts, along with Lexus Certified doing the repairs. This just really sets me back on wanting to do a trade in on a new IS-350 here at the end of the year, because the value of my car just went down like crazy!!!
DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!
