I agree, & you know I'm not a sports sedan person

When I get a sedan, which I will within the next 2 years, I will be looking for more luxury, ride comfort & gadgets & a relaxed cruise. For a sporty car, I prefer a smaller, sexier 2 door coupe

same here bro. 28 no wifey/no kids-been buying all sort of cars from the past (see sig.) - all toyota that is, i started with olds schools to two seater, and i think umma end up on the luxury sedan for the rest of me life! trends past by so fast until u notice ur at this point of ur life and notice that all u need is a luxury with the beast underneath the hood! my mr2 is fast but i can't take the headaches from this bumpy ride, i have an old school 73 corolla-fast but could'nt bare the loud sound of the engine! having the gs at this point of life... i think umma settle here for a while, from this point things will go slow IMO-until i win the lotto the uncomfortability ride of a loud engine sound from a ferrari/porche would'nt matter much i admit if i did'nt get a very good deal on this gs i will still be on my mr2t-not knowing how cool is it to have a very cool luxury sedan

Too funny. LOL

Mike - you like sports sedans because you like being able to chauffeur the hotties around but don't want an SUV.

Im 19 and I can't stand small sporty cars. Maybe its because im 6'2" or something of that sort, but I cant picture my self driving a small coupe.

27 here. Bought the GS when I was 25 for my b-day gift to myself. Anticipated myself getting into the real estate market and wanted to fit clients in a good set of seats w/o needing a crowbar to get them out of an s2000 trunk.

so- all in all - practicality. come to think of it now - when i drive the gs - it doesn't even feel like there is a lot of car behind the driver's seat. well- i feel it when i accelerate because it's so slow!! (GS300).

ideally- the garage would have a supra and a gs.

do I hear an Amen??!!

You are wise.

In '84 or so, I saw a JDM car rag and what they were doing to the sedans there. That planted the image and liked the appeal of a larger car since it was also practical. Bought a Cressida at 24 and loved the updated/higher line trim. Most my friends were driving 2 door cars, we'd go out and I was th designated driver for most events.

Since then, of the last 4 cars, they have been 4 door sedans. 2 Maxima's, BMW 5 and now the LS4. Haven't had the desire for a 2 seat coupe. Well, that has changed a bit but that won't be for another 6-8 years.

No. I'm 27 and now I'm looking at S2000's and MX5's.

Cheers,

The only reason you perfer a sedan is b/c you have never own a coupe and sedan at the same time. The best of both worlds.

I was going to say the same thing, I'm 6'4" and I met SICK before so I'd say he's about 6'5", I think its a inherent thing with the comfort of larger cars. I know it looks funny to see 1 person hop out of a 7series BMW, but for some reason it eels like you got more for your money with larger sedans. I like looking at little small coupes, but I always say no matter how comfortable it is inside, a 6'5" tall dude looks dumb getting out of a Audi TT (lol)

Also I think public perception plays into it as well. I dont care if Subaru makes a 85,000 dollar WRX, to 98% of the car buying public it will still just be a noisy lil subaru because people equate value with size.

There are a few 2 doors that I like, the MB CL, and Bentley GT probably top the list

Mike
I hate to tell you this, but you are getting old. It happens and there is nothing you can do about it. I was around your age when I went from a Supra to a 325i. I really loved having four doors and being able to get stuff back there without folding the seat forward. Oh and don't try to call it maturity

R we spoiled? The new crop of luxury sedans these past few years, especially from Lexus BMW and Mercedes blend everything so well, if you can get it, they are pretty much perfect cars??

I am single with no kids yet I worry about space, a trunk and resale value.

Shouldn't I want a damn 2-seater?????
lol i bought my ls430 when i was 26 hehe....even the salesman was stumped suggesting i get a gs430 or sc430 instead. But after 2 Supra TT's, an S2000, and some sportsbike, I wanted something BIG nice, comfortable, and quiet!
