The scorching AMG version of the E-Class makes a drastic change by ditching the current supercharged engine for a freer revving 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V8. The engine, built entirely in-house by AMG, features high-strength silicon-aluminum alloy, four valves per cylinder, a variable intake manifold and valve timing. It is rated at 503 hp and 465 lb-ft-which is a gain of 34 hp but a loss of 51 lb-ft compared to the 5.5-liter V8 in the previous AMG E-Class.

so is it the E63 AMG now?
Also, I couldn't make out what the badge on the front fender says now. It obviously can't be V8 Kompressor... although it looks too long to be just plain V8

The station wagon is still ugly, but the sedan is fine, but I don't like the cosmetic changes made for the facelift, so now I 'd take the CLS63 over the E63 easy . . .

They already unveiled the 2007 SL55 with increased power on the supercharged 5.5 litre with the facelift.
