The interior just doesn't appeal to me at all.
The center console from the NAV down to the arm rest just doesn't look good IMO. I don't like the control layout for the NAV and if that's integrated stereo controls then it's even worse.
I do like the seats and steering wheel.![Thumb Up](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Exterior cues...very nice.

I think you can tell the difference by looking at the grill. The new G has the bent/twisted grill slats, and the M does not. (unless I am mistaken).

2007 G35 pacakges, from g35driver:
Premium Package -- Studio on wheels sound system, Memory seats, mirrors and steering wheel, plus the usual stuff in the premium a,b,c pkg
Nav Package -- Nav, XM real time traffic (so you can't get sirius w/ navigation), flash driver w/ 9.5GB hard drive (in lieu of a CD changer, you apparently rip from the CD player to the hard drive), voice recognition, touch screen features
Tech Package -- Adaptive headlights, Rearview monitor, Intelligent cruise control
Word is that even the non-Nav models get the LCD monitor, which is nice. I don't like how the IS interior looks without the screen.

I'm still on the fence about this car. It looks to be shaping up nicely in some areas, but at the same time its not achieving the allure that the previous gen had. I'm a big fan of the M car, but while the G got old very fast, it too was very appealing. I know they usually dress up photos to make them look nicer, so I'll have to wait until this hits dealers. Hats off to Infiniti regardless though, as I really do like their direction.

I agree Hats off to Infiniti. They really have been making some moves. Especially with the new M series. They really surprise me. In the DC Metro area people are riding the bmw 5 series no matter what versions. It sicks me but the car has grown on me

Yes, the M35/45 and G35 have done well for them but as a WHOLE, Infiniti is back in trouble:
Q45 discontinued (its not on the 2007 website or brochures or ads)
FX selling poorly
QX selling poorly, built poorly
THey only have a 2 car, 2 SUV= 4 vehicle lineup. Dealerships are going mad! There is no product to sell.

Here is a picture of the new engine bay for the 07 G35. I found it in one of the Nissan forums.

Highs
New exterior styling will offend no one, ample thrust, telepathic steering, world-class gearbox, a rare sports machine with a soul.
Lows
Long brake pedal, newness difficult to see at a glance, ride and refinement still trailing BMW's perfection.
Behind the Wheel
With a manual gearbox and sport package the G35 makes you do bad things.
Capsule Review
Its difficult to improve on a comparison test and 10Best winner, but Infiniti has done it. Much like the BMW 3-series that it constantly chases, the new G35 has added a bunch of small improvements and enhancements. Basically, Infiniti didn't mess up the good things they had going in the G35.
