I was able to drive the RS4 at the carlsbad location..the wait was 3.5 hours long but it went by pretty quickly since I was driving other cars as well. All I can say is the RS4 is an amazing, very fast especially with the sport button on....I loved it..

I'm signed up for the Seattle event, May 20th for the 1pm timeslot which means... I'll be there 6am or something. Incidentally, I REALLY want to see the Q7. Wonder which seat-configuration they're using/bringing.

Ride along only at the Beverly Hills event... *must... resist... making... obvious... joke*....

Cheers,
Kermee

According to one of the Audi reps I met this past Sunday, they stopped letting people drive the RS4 cuz some genius got arrested for getting it up to 145 on the freeway. Don't you just love it when one person blows it for everyone else?

Aww that truly sucks. I was so looking forward to it.

Now I'll be stuck driving the Q7.

I suggest taking the A3 3.2 out and really having some fun with the DSG. I didn't expect much from the A3, but after driving the 3.2 I'd be definitely considering it if I were in the market for a new car. That thing is just pure fun.

Also, make sure you go with an empty stomach. The food Audi served made the Taste Of Lexus seem like it was catered by McDonald's rejects.

All the drives for Carlsbad were done on regular streets and freeways. I drove the rs4 later on in the day so I was not able to take it on the highway maybe it was because of this 145mph incident. Nevertheless it was very enjoyable accelerating from the signal lights.

oh it's done on local street and such?! that's one very weird decision imho, even on local street it's hard to really test the acceleration isn't it? not sure if audi made the right decision on doing all these test drive on the street

anyway, got an email from audi today about the event, we will see on sunday how it goes for my event. seems like i don't have much hope on it anymore, especially when i can't get to drive the ONLY car i am interested in

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll be sure to try that first.

So if all else fails, I can at least view this as a free food event. Can't wait!
