In 2005, Lexus allowed you to drive the IS350, BMW 330I,GS430 and others on the high performance course minus the co-driver/escort Audi and GM had some moron sit in he car with you.

So how did he get to drive the IS and three after other people had left. This had to be something for clublexus members only Right.

The gifts they gave out at OC-CA were the road atlas, Zagat guide and Paul McCartney CD. It was sooo crowded. '04 the lines were about 4-5 deep, '05 was like 15 or so. Next time we're scheduling the early blocks.

I think this year ill show up early and since it was in DC and i live in richmond ill spend the night with family and go both saturday and sunday. The only part of the event i didnt get to experience was the spa cause it was booked up and i wasnt interested in the espn golf portion. Lexus can leave out the part about the golf experts.

What kinds of cars were in the auto museum. What kind of food was in the buffet. And cv you said you recvd an info already is it to a launch party or to taste of Lexus please let us know.
I haven't received any special info, it's just that: http://tasteoflexus.com/template.asp

says, 'check back for info about the 2006 Taste of Lexus' which is appetizing...

The 'Auto Museum' was basically a larger exhibit of the Lexus cars...including similar displays as in the Auto Shows, but also even more. There was the engine cutaway of the 400h hybrid system, as well as a hybrid 400h which came with touchscreen interactive exhibit displays for info about its systems. There was a separate Mark Levinson audio lounge where you could test the home version of the ML system, while sitting in nice sofa couches. The indoor area was about 3 different rooms, the first of which looked like the attached picture.

As for the buffet, it was delicious. There were quarter sandwiches, different types of breads and cheeses, and also hors d'oeuvres. I particularly liked the dessert area, as I remember the lemon tart and rich chocolate brownie-style cake. We had a meal ticket and were allowed only ONE trip to the buffet, so we made sure to 'load up' and it was indeed a full lunch.

Oh thanks for the pic with the museum looks nice food sounds about like 05 but since it was a buffet maybe there was more selection. But CVSGX said he recvd an invite from the dealer to an event like this so im wondering if its taste of lexus or a launch party. Here a link to some pics i found that have 04-05 taste of lexus events for anyone who wants to compare the two.

The free Lexus goodies are always given at many Lexus events...even the ones that Lexus corporate setup for us specifically here in SoCal. Usually the giveways are while supplies last. Those who would come on the 2nd day or later in the day got stuck with the leftovers if any.

The Taste of Lexus events and many other "ride & drive" events are organized and executed by a 3rd party company.

Lexus oversees it and provides the goodies and etc. But their vendor conducts the show.

Yes the event was organized by ACMI who also provided all of the competitor vehicles. I just think lexus provides the Lexus cars and the free gifts and all of the Lexus displays. All of the reps at the event all worked for amci.
