Looks awesome IMHO! I owned a 87 in college and they have come a long way since then. BTW, my 87 had an emergency release lever for the automatic seatbelts that would help you out when the seatbelts locked up in an accident. When you lifted it up while driving an alarm sounded and scared the **** out of everyone i took for a ride. anyhoo, sorry for the hijack, now back to our regularly scheduled program.

The new Camry looks great! They certainly went a lot more agressive on their styling....kudos to Toyota. I may pick one up after my GS retires.

Awesome.

Do they ever test the rear-end impact as well?

SE = Sport Edition.

Sorry but your question is a bit dumb indeed. Go to Toyota.com and see for yourself before you ask please.

I did check. the only thing different I noticed was the spoiler... big whoop.

Some of the previous posts mention the exterior of the SE being a whole lot better.

I didn't notice anything much different.

Well, the SE is wrapped up with a full bodykit, not just the spoiler. And the mesh grille and blackout headlights are pretty obvious too.

The interior looks way different as well. 3-spoke steering wheels, 3 dials in the dash. sport fabric seats, blue instrumentation, etc.

For a complete list, click on the Models and Prices link on the website and you get a detailed PDF:

to me, the new Camry looks ok from far away, but when you get close to it there are too many funky lines. sometimes they look like they have been in an accident at a glance. the trunk has wierd bumps and curves in it. the front hook nose thing has to go too.

I'm reallllly liking the SE... I've thinking about this car for some time now. It has come a long way from being grandma's car, esp in red.

finance might become an issue to me in the near future, so maybe it's time to compromise. for sure i can sell my gs (and parts), buy the camry, and still come out on top. with the es350 for sure that's going to be a lot more money

The 2007 Camry actually made me consider getting it over the 2007 GS for a second. Then I came to my senses. If I was limited to getting a car under $30,000 the 2007 Camry would definitely be my next car.
