Even the previous ES have had 7K+ months before, but I don't recall 9k+ for this model before, may have to look it up.
There's always some pent up demand initially though for a brand new model, so let's see what it'll be like in the subsequent months, but I won't be surprised at all this new ES will do even better than the previous . . .

I hope that I did this right bc the #s look a bit different than months past {esp the CTS} but I took em str8 from the posted articles. I guess incentives really do make a difference.

The GS has gone back to outselling the M - is order restored in the automotive world now?

Actually if you take out the 294 GS450h's only 2,162 regular GS's were sold, a tad below the M, even though some (not many I suppose) of the GS450h buyers might have bought GS430's instead.

The GS450h is the new flagship for the GS model now until the GS460 comes out.
Even then , it can be argued that the GS450h will still be a co-flagship with the GS460 since it's a hybrid.

I think it can also be argued that the Mercedes CLS sales should be added to the E class sales in the mid-sized luxury classs, since it has 4 doors & could have taken some sales from the E class, since there're quite a lot of sedan owners who want 4 doors just for the occasional rear seat passengers, but the rear seats are usually empty.

Car magazines have compared the CLS with the 6 series, but a British mag has also compared the CLS with the 5 series & the GS.

Who the heck buys a Q45 for a fleet vehicle?

Maybe 'fleet' includes company cars? Plus, with Infiniti having a hard time moving them, maybe they do blow some out to rental companies for the top end models.

Same with the ES/IS and formerly GS. People jump on these things out of the gate. Let's be honest here, the GS, IS, and ES are all really good looking cars at good prices.

If you look at the spike in GS sales and where they are today, I'm betting we will see the same kind of drop off on the IS and the ES as well. They will still continue to sell well, but I doubt that the IS will stay near the 5,000 per month nor will the ES will stay near 9,000 per month. Time will tell.

Lightbulb Es330

That is an awfully high # that I do not doubt includes all the people that rushed out to buy the 350 asap but would it also include sales of ES330's that were sold cheap just to get em off the lot?

If it is 9,000 sales again next month, I will be very impressed.

I also think this as well. Of all places, my area is a luxury car show. I have not seen one ES350 here yet. I have been seeing alot of newly bought ES330's though. Lexus dealers are giving people cheap deals on them to get them off the lots. Even in the IS250/350s first month i saw a few around.

Well I have seen six new ES 350s on the streets since last week, and they look great!!!

Remember the ES is one of Lexus' all-time successes to date, and even the outgoing model is in top 10 of best-selling luxury vehicles. I believe the New ES will debut strongly out of the gate, as early indications suggest, and also continue strongly, year-in and out as the ES 300/330 has done.

The GS is doing horrible IMO.............I know this is Club Lexus, but that is a fact.

Unless Lexus starts to offer a sports package and other exciting features, the GS will not sell well. The Infiniti M offers customers a sports package, bodykit, 19in wheels, etc. Options that the GS cant match. I think the E & 5 Series will always sell better than the GS, but the GS should at least sell more than the Ms.

The IS has been out a while - I don't see it going down much if any.

The ES won't stay at 9K, I agree that's pent up demand. But I think it's going to be a big hit overall. It's really a great car.

re: IS....I dunno Bit, the reviews are not so hot and that stuff starts to wear at you in the sales dept. Just check out what happend to the GS over time.

The ES350? Personally, I have not seen one in person, but from the pictures it is beautiful and I can see that thing selling well for a while.
