The lastest gen as you mentioned on the RS4 and newer releases will have more of a 40/60 biased towards the rear.

Actually, it's a very INEFFECTIVE ad. It only appeals to those who already love BMW or buy into the irrational "RWD is superior" argument. They won't buy FWD cars anyway. If anything, this is an act of desperation by BMW to try and appeal to their base who have been steadily searching out other makes for the past few years since BMW's styling and quality have gone to pot.
Lexus might as well post a picture of an endless line of animals going into a veterinary clinic with the tagline "This is why we don't build our cars in Germany."

Genetically abnormal, freakishly deformed forrest animals: that is why we don't make FWD.
Hmm, seems like they need better rationale guiding their corporate strategy on drivetrain systems?

Man, some of you guys are radical.
FWD has a few advantages :
1) Traction in the snow.
2) A lighter, cheaper more practical package (i.e. no drivetrain
tunnel running throught the middle of the car.).

Not every car needs to be a sports car. Plus, in the winter RWD
hardliners can buy themselves a lot of trouble in snowy states
(traction control can only do so much).

The TL TRIES to be sporty and in every review, does an okay job but not great. Thus you could interpret this as a jab towards that car.
In ES comparions, there is not a BMW in site . Everytime the TL loses (hell and the IS), there is a BMW in front.
