C'mon now. We all know that RWD means everything to the world and FWD means nothing. It's luxurious to own RWD when 90% of the consumers dont push their cars to the limit, and half of them probably dont even know what wheels propell the car.

Bimmer's marketing department has done wonders with that "ultimate driving machine" crap. As CK6Speed and Marshmallo pointed out, RWD is a trade-off. For most drivers, it's a BAD trade-off. When's the last time you saw a BMW, ANY BMW, driven anywhere close to the limit? Heck, 75% of the Bimmers on the road are 325i's. My FWD Acura CL can drive circles around them, and it's eight years old. BMW has an aggressive marketing department, but their engineering department fails to keep up...
I would rather crash and die in a RWD car, than drive a FWD car that "thinks" it is sporty everyday.

Not that I've been around here much this year, but I'm willing to bet this is the best quote so far.

Not a sporty bone in its body and sure as hell don't drive it like it does, won't act like it does and I am not going to tell you it is. Besides, RX 300 AWD is my driver and again, not a sporty bone in its body. I gave me review on how driving it makes me so calm, I could join the orchestra.
Thank God Lexus did the right thing and made the ES veer to the luxury side and bring in a true RWD IS for the sport side.

Things change, when I was younger, I didn't know the difference between RWD/AWD/FWD, it wasn't even a consideration.

After driving a SC 400 for the first time and then having one, it convinced me in a day, RWD is the way to go.
People say you can't tell the difference during daily driving but that is B.S. The difference is night and day. If you can't tell if your being "pulled" or being "pushed", you must have no feeling in your body.
