The new trend for idiots. Paint your car in a company logo
This is becoming the rage in Atlanta and the South. People are literally painting their cars the color of the company with giant company logos all over the car.
Today, I saw no crap, a 97 ES 300 on like 22s and VISA on the hood and doors and the car painted in those colors.
I think pics have been posted on teh MCDONALDS car, its red and yellow with the golden arches on it.
I have NO IDEA what is behind this idea?

oh man, I need to see this. Got pics??
There was a guy in my neighborhood(about 5 years ago) who had a Silverado with GM Goodwrench logos and a F-150 with M&M logos on it just like certain Nascar vehicles. Black wheels, lowered and everything. He drove it around all the time. It was pretty cool.
A town over from me a guy used to own one of those Delta Airline Mini Coopers.

You're sure it's paint and not a wrap? Companies will pay somelike like $400 per month to have your car wrapped. Alternatively, they will GIVE you a car to drive around for free, but it will be wrapped.

This may sound strange, but in Mexico if you want the business tax deduction for the company car, the company logo must be on the vehicle. What was happening before is that people were using a loophole in the tax code to put their personal vehicles as business vehicles in order to avoid the huge taxes we have down here on personal vehicles.
I worked at a Fortune 500 company about a year ago where this occurred for the sale representatives, however the executive class did not have the logos and the company ended up paying extra tax because the executives also used these vehicles as personal vehicles. The sales reps also usually used them as a personal car and objected to this, but we had to remind them it was a company car.
In fact, the company logo must be the same size, colors, etc., same location placement across all vehicles.

it's nothing special. back in 99 and 00 when the .com boom was at its best, you see tons of cars like these. as crazy as it might sound, you signed the contract with the company, they PAY for your car (lease most of the time i believe), and you get to drive the car like it's yours
