10% ethanol
Yesterday, I went to fill up my IS350 at Sunoco with their 93 superunleaded and notice a sign at the pump that says the gas could contain up to 10% ethanol. I have never noticed this sign at other gas stations before. Is this standard to all gas manufacturers or just to Sunoco? If this is just to Sunoco, could this cause any problems?

did u do some high compression mods to your IS350?
if it is stock, u should only be filling it with 91~92 octane gas
if too high, it wont burn properly and cleanly
higher octane doesnt mean better gas, it just means it takes higher temp and compression to ignite the gas
meant for higher compression engines
as for ethanol, heres canada's government's non-biased explainations and FAQs

IMO, thats enuf for me to stay away from ethanol since lexus burns fuel pretty clean already

Does using ethanol blends affect your vehicle?
Ethanol helps maintain cleaner engines and helps clean out the fuel-injection systems. Since ethanol can loosen contaminants and residues in the fuel system, this may require changing your vehicle's fuel filter more often. Since 1985, detergent additives have been used in all ethanol blends and nearly all non-ethanol gasolines.
This helps prevent injector deposits. As well, ethanolgasoline does not adversely affect the vehicle's engine or its components.
