My point was that BMW offers THREE transmissions to Lexus' ONE ... and all of them are more responsive to driver inputs. It matters less to me that the BMW was equipped w/ the 6sp traditional manual than it does that it could have been equipped w/ the SMG or full automatic as well.

I would never buy an sports car without an manual, so I dont really care if there are 5 different powertrain combinations if there isnt an manual in there.
On the other side, I would never buy non-automatic large/luxury car, so I really dont care if they offer 5 different powertrains if there isnt an automatic in there.
Since 450h is an Hybrid, you can not have an hybrid without CVT, end of story.

I agree. I think the GS460 may go north of $60K fully loaded.

I understand your position and I think mine is clear as well.

and with this indication, the ls460 isn't gonna be pretty

Remember, the premium of the GS450h over the GS350 is not just for mpg/emission, it's also for performance . . .

GS450h in the Boston area. The active stabilizer package seems to add
$5900

The active stabilizer/runflat tire option is a $3400 package and the pre-collision system option is $2850 which is how it gets up to almost $66K fully loaded (Nav and ML too). That's directly from my window sticker. Bitkahuna's $63K figure apparently did not include the PCS option. A $60K 450h would not include either the stabilizer or PCS packages. Hope this helps clarify the "fully loaded" 450h cost.

So it should be possible to get a GS450h between 60k - 66k realistically.
