and when it's layed out I get this alot

"how the hell do you drive it like that"

I just say I don't, then get in air it up and drive off

happened a couple times with my supra. I went to toyota to buy parts and an old couple asked me if it was the new celica. i told them no, so they asked what is was and what year . they couldnt believe that it was a 93

another time I was chilling at my friends parking lot with the supra and a customer asked my friend "is that one of those hondas"

The worst was when i was at this local meet and a kid in a 93 Prelude called my car a POS than asked why i bought it when i replied because i wanted a luxury car he starts yelling a saying that an IS300 is not a luxury car. I said that when compared to a bmw three i felt the IS was then he says the bmw three is way more luxurious than the IS but not a luxury car if i had bought an M3 than i would have a luxury car. So if you take the three and give it a stiffer suspension and a noisier engine its a luxury car.

I was at an after-prom party and noticed a lot of the guys were outside looking at the cars. So I walked outside to join them and just have a nice chat.

A guy that I didn't know started talking about my GS. He didn't know that the car was mine. The only person in the group that knew it was mine was my best friend. He just looked at me and I just shook my head signaling him to be quiet.

The guy continues to talk and asks why any moron would wreck a nice luxury car and mod it. He goes onto say that "grandpa cars" aren't meant to be modded and no matter what you do "even turbo" the car won't become fast.

So I jump into the convo, without letting him know that it was mine, and I tell him that I've raced a couple of "those cars" on the highway and they're pretty fast. And I go on to tell that Toyota Aristos and Altezzas are used for racing in Japan all the time and that the Lexus IS300 and the Lexus GS are the same as their Toyota cousins except for the engines.

The thing that ticked me off was when he said, "Oh it's just a Toyota? I guess modding it is okay then." I ask him what he drives and he takes us over to his Prelude. Nothing special. He has a CAI, exhaust, rims, tints, and headers. So I ask him if he thinks he can take the Lexus. He goes onto say that his dad's pathfinder could take it. So I go inside, grab my keys which were in my coat pocket, get inside the car, drive up next to the group that's talking and ask him to go race.

He looks at me for a second with a puzzled/embarassed look but agrees to have a quick run in the shopping center parking lot around the corner. It's a pretty long parking lot. Enough to get my speed upto 70-75 before I have to shutdown. We had three runs. Destroyed him every time. It was a good night.

Thats so funny the guys in each are our stories have preludes)gayludes as some call them) and try to diss our cars cause there toyotas. Most ricer kids are idiots.

Just got back from lunch and I pulled up into a parking lot with some high school kids hanging out. I usually have a hard tonneau cover that hides my tanks, compressors, and valves but it's off right now. So I see one kid looking back there and says "How fast does this thing go?" i'm like what, and he says "those are some big nawwsssss tanks you got back there, this thing must be fast, does it have a V8 too" I told him no it's a V6 but it runs an 8 second quarter mile stupid kids, but they were quite impressed, LOL!
