Just curious as I'm just not sure where those extra channels could be of any benefit sice speaker location would be critical.
Not sure but the new IS/ES and GS have 7.1. I am sure the new LS will have as well

The M45 price went up by about 2 grand from $47,150. The M45 Sport by about 500 bucks.

I knew I wasn't nuts, thats an obvious jump.

Good car though, I wish Lexus would offer a nice factory sport package.

Too busy investing in world first hybrids I guess

I think with the new "standard" equipment, it is not too much of a jump at all. I'm not sure how many base M45s have ever been actually sold

I do agree, the car needs a 6 speed auto.

Just as I thought ... M45 lost about as much as I predicted. M35 didn't lose as much, but at least ratings are now more in line with Toyota and Honda and their engines.

Can't wait to see the rest of the lineup under the new ratings, especially the G35 ... but sadly that won't be seen, because of the new G coming, with new engines. I guess we may never know how much the "300HP" VQ actually made under new ratings.

Do you know if the engine in the GS430/LS430 has been retested? How about the GS300? I think they are still using the old ratings, not sure however.

The 2006 LS430 is listed under the newest SAE standard for sure, at 278hp, down from 290 hp.
