Maybe with convertibles as large as these, a hardtop will get a little too trunk space consuming ?
I like the looks of the Bentley CGT convertible as well as this one from Mercedes with the top down. I would get them if I can somehow afford to blow so much on a car some day. Just consider it a car that you will only drive once or twice a week, only in good weather & ALWAYS with the top down

This Ocean Drive concept from Mercedes is like an in-between of the S class & the Maybach to me in terms of design, it's like a S-class without the wheel arches, but better looking than the Maybach. I think this concept looks better than both.

Part of me likes it, but the other part of me finds it really ugly. It's bold and flamboyant, and if you're going to be driving a four-door convertible around, I guess it should be flamboyant, so good job, Mercedes. The top looks disgusting, but then again if you're gonna be buying this car the top should be down most of the time anyway.

The practicality of 4-door convertibles has always been a question, not for the structural rigidity (or lack thereof) of a long, open chassis, but of the aerodynamics of the package. Despite the tall, steeply raked windshield, the folks back in steerage class are going to be pretty badly windblown. A 2-door with restricted rear legroom moves the rear seat forward on a shortened wheelbase that at least gives the passengers some small amount of protection on a calm day. Of course at this level of consumption, who cares for practicality? It's a statement!

I suppose you can say the same about the upcoming RR Phantom convertible(could cost ~$400k ? ) & the Bentley CGT convertible.

I'm definitely in the minority here but I love the thing. I think it is great. Yeah it isn't practical at all but who cares. That isn't the point. I have always liked big 4 door convertibles though.
