Yes, clearly something interesting and a unique 'future-retro' design. However it's a bit too on the retro side for me, I much prefer the new CL class.
I think the rear seats area should be a little roomier than the CL coupe too, & entry/exit more convenient with 4 doors.
That's what I was thinking.
Those rear seats look cramped.
I thought it was just the regular sedan size with a chopped folding roof
Seems like they shrunked/modified the rear space b/c the sedan's back seat are roooooomy
Regarding market: it's just uber luxury...RR convert fighter?

I think they should make the rear seat area as roomy as the SWB version of the S550.
I don't think we have the swb here.
If you consider swb roomy, imagine the regular lwb
I have seen the SWB S-class in Europe last year, & I think the rear legroom are reasonably good already, & Canada will be offered the S450 in SWB only for 2008MY, not sure about the U.S.
I think for a sedan the LWB S-Class looks a lot better, but that's probably not the case for a convertible version. Most buyers of convertibles will drive the cars themselves/sit in the front most(if not all) of the time anyway, so I think rear legroom equivalent to the SWB S-class should be sufficient.
