Consumer Reports says:
"Shake it fast, watch yaself, shake it fast, look at what not to buy"
Actually they didn't say it quite like that - but that's what they said.
Used car reliability verdict on the 2003 TT = Very Poor
Electrical, Cooling, Tranny, Power Equipment = Poor
If that doesn't bother you, go ahead. But I'd stay away from this one.

Coming from a 2005 Audi S4 to my 2006 Lexus IS 350 all I can say is if you want one lease a brand new one. Full warranty and free maintinance for first 4 years. Cheaper payment, newer car with no p[roblems yet.
Fun car WHEN its working. Granted my car was heavily modified it was in the shop alot. My mechanic at Audi said its not just yours its all of them.
On a side note get the 225 hp version then get a REVO flash ecu upgrade =225hp to 250hp easily. You can get that car to 300hp easily also. Make sure your local Audi dealer is mod friendly first.

TTs are very nice, but a few friends with them here also don´t think their reliability has held up...they often take them to the shop for odd little things.

My brother has a 180 TT with APR retune. He drives the crap out of it, taking it to different auto-x events and whatnot, and has NEVER had an issue with it. It is a 02 and has 27,000 miles on it. Perhaps the 225's have more issues than the 180 version?

1. my friend's wife had a BRAND NEW one and the dealer had to replace the instrument panel several times due to electrical gremlins. finally after several unsuccessful attempts at fixing it, they replaced the ENTIRE CAR. electrical mechanical junk nightmare IMO. JUNK. who needs these hassles?
2. it's a woman's car IMO.
Good luck.

Another German car paradox. Very cool looking car. Very different but you can see the Porsche family resemblance. Modded they really look cool.
BUT, reliability nightmare to no end. Love/hate thing....cool, looks good, always in the shop. Just like all the Germans. Maybe Hitler wins afterall. What a diabolical plan...make the cars so seductive but a misery to own. Hail mein furer!
