MT Comparo: 1) Odyssey, 2) Sedona, 3) Quest, 4) Grand Caravan
August MT Comparo (0-60):
1) Odyssey (8.2s)
Star quality continues to shine through every aspect of this personable, polished, and capable transporter. Incredible driving pleasure.
2) Sedona (8.0s)
Excellent packagin, impressive performance, stunning value plus an outstanding warranty should win this versatile team player plenty of new fans.
3) Quest (8.5s)
Stylish and sporty outside, its new interior trimout replaces ultramodern edge with more conventional- and user-friendly, trappings. Pity about the prices.
4) Grand Caravan (10.3s)
Aging less than gracefully, its continuing popularity seems drvien as much by inertia as by innovation. The 2008 redesign can't arrive too soon.

Toyota's 3.3L V6:
215HP - 222TQ
mated to 5-speed Auto
Dodge's transmissions are notoriously bad in addition to that weak engine.
The Sienna probably reaches 60 mph in the 9 second range +/- 0.5 seconds.

Toyota definitely needs a 3.5L. 3.3L is a bit behind the competitor now that DC has a 3.8L, Honda has a 3.5l (may increase), Nissan has a 3.5L. Then again, nissan will probably put the same engine platform in all their cars so the rumored 3.7L might be in it too.

The Quest was no joke $40,000 tested I think 5k more than the Odyessy.
You would have to be the dumbest fock on the planet to pay 40k for a Nissan.
Or your French.
Bigups to Kia for the 2nd place finish.
America, WTF, wake up, u INVETED this segment!!!!
Kudos to Honda, the Odeyssy is the best ca rthey make.

I don't know why there is so much talk about 0-60 times here. One does not normally buy a minivan to go drag racing.
Forget about the Quest being an eyesore.....which the present model certainly is. A new one is coming out with a conventional dash and gauges. Even Nissan acknowledges the present one was a flop....and unreliable to boot.
I'm with Henry, though...they should have included the Sienna. That's one reason why I stopped reading MT regularly years ago. That magazine has never impressed me....ceratainly not like Car and Driver and Autoweek. However, they are right on about the Kia Sedona being the best value of the bunch....even with the Sienna being absent. I just did a review of the almost identical Hyundai Entourage a few weeks ago...an equally good value.
