A4 was available last year as well.

I didnt see an a4 but i did notice there was a g35 and a SRX and a bmw X5 parked on the side that werent being used. In one of the demos they used the X5 to compare to the RX400h i didnt see them use the other 2 at all.

Because of regional constraints, not all venues will have the exact same lease cars. If you see cars parked on the side, they are either 1) demo cars for certain demonstrations or 2) broken down with mechanical issues (and it happened quite frequently with many other manufacturers, call it coincidental).

Oh that explains it. I wonder how long they lease these cars and i wonder how we can find out what cars they bring to the other events. I guess everyone post up what competitor cars were there.

As long as they have the 7Series and the SClass to compare im happy and maybe the jag XJ8. It would be really nice if the ES had competitor cars available as well like the Jag Xtype or Volvo s60 Acura TL or even the C-Class eventhough i think that car is more in line with the IS.

Yeah only the LS460 will have competing models but i think they should bring cars to compare to the new ES350 as well.

well depends on their focus, i guess they don't want anything to overpower the ls460? last yr their focus was obviously the IS and the GS so we had competitors in those categories

who knows, maybe lexus is just focusing on ls460 on advertising, when we arrive we will see other cars head to head with es350 as well

I honestly dont see any direct competitor to the ES, as cars in that category are sport focused and not lux focused like the ES (which is why the ES is selling like crazy, not everyone wants a sport sedan for an entry level luxury vehicle)

I can see the volvo as a competitor the S60 also what about the Lincoln LS or is that aimed at the GS. Hyundai azera VW passat they could possibly be competitors and buick says there Lucerne is aimed at the ES and avalon.
