Lexus has parted ways with Performance Engineering aka Team Lexus. It's been confirmed by my direct contact at Lexus HQ. There is an article that was posted on here and my.IS not too long ago.

while i saw a lot of people at the lexus event this yr, it was nothing compared to how cramped it was last year when i was there. by noon time, the i counted about 50 people in line for the sc430, compared to about 20 this past weekend.
Yeah it's worse this year. Less cars, more invited, and a smaller venue. I've never seen parking that bad on that tarmack runway there at El Toro other than GM's huge event.

Since the SC430 is old news, the LS460 and GS450h lines were the longest. About the time you left was when the crowd started pouring in.

You must have not read my review.

-The parting gift at the end, it gets smaller and more useless every year.

The Drive:

The venue @ El Toro was split up in 3 tracks and cars. This will vary from each venue across the US due to space constraints and/or vehicle availablility. All the LS460's being driven and displayed were all pre-production models. My car count is not completely accurate, this is what I observed:

Track#1 (Left):
LS460/LS460L (2 LWB, 3 SWB)
BMW 750i (2)
MBZ S550 (2)

Track#2 (Center):
RX400h (2)
RX350 (2)
ES350
SC430

Track#3 (Right):
IS250/IS250 AWD
IS350 (1 Sport Package, the others were Luxury Package w/17" wheels)
GS350 (3)
GS450h (3)

Not Available for the drive:
GS430
LX470
GX470

I hope the cars aren't too beat up by the time they reach the later events, say in a month or two...

Does it matter what time you get to ToL? I originally had a reservation for 2:00, but I had to reschedule, and the only available date was 4:00... the last time of the day. Will they start closing up at 4:30, or what time to they start closing?

Thanks
