tracks were more narrow this year and had sharper corners so it was hard to get any good speed built. Had every Lexus (except GX LX for test drives) one MB S550, two BMW 750, probably 5 LS460s. S550 line was horrendous because there was only one. Some dude thought he was hot shot in the BMW 750 and kicked the rear out, powerslid, and cleaved about 5 cones in this one turn. Was pretty funny.
I drove every Lexus model, rode in the S550 and 750. S550 handling was worse than the LS imo, felt real floaty boaty, good torque tho. 750 had the best handlingm felt the most composed in turns but I nauseated at the interior design, was just unthinkably ugly and horribly laid out and the car feels smaller inside than the LS460 SWB. LS460 by far the quietest and smoothest out of those 3 best laid out interior wise of the 3.

It would have been too conspicuous to take pics at the hybrid event--too high end. I actually didn't bring the camera.
There was a bag full of mens/women's cosmetic items including fragrances, a hybrid pencil, leaflet on maximizing hybrid performance/mileage and a new copy of the hardcover Lexus Story.

Wow really nice gifts im just hoping they have another. Sounds really cool i guess as Lexus sells more and more cars they will have more lifestyle events for current and potential customers.

i went to the event last weekend it was pretty fun... i didnt get to drive any other competitors (MB and BMW) but my gf who got to drive the others said she really liked the ls460 over the other two.
the is350 holy cow that car is pretty dang quick, too bad its too small for me.
the sc430 was too small for me too.
i did not test drive the gs450h because the line was too long and i'm still humble with my 2nd gen GS.
the food was pretty good i really liked the fudge brownie i ate like 3 of them.

I was impressed with the GS 450h, or was it 350h too. Anyway, I liked it better than the regular GS. However, already owning one hybrid (RX 400h) I think that is enough. My driving habits don't help any car get great mileage, but acceleration is awesome.

They dont make a 350h. Unless they wanna make a hybrid off of the IS250 which looking at that cars gas mileage that would be a super effecient car. And closer to the IS350 in tems of speed.

lexus had a gs driving event last year inviting prospective buyers in the segment.
imho full scale taste of lexus event (and similar events by other brands) start to cost too much and i am not sure about the return anymore, especially given the economy. the last few events i went, there were huge lines and a lot of people fighting (rudely) for foot and other gadgets. it totally lost the "luxury" touch

My guess is the recession (no budget for this type of event) and now increasing new car sales (no need for them at this time), I guess they could always bring TOL back if the need arises.
