Talking Top 10 Gay Wheels

Top 10 Researched Vehicles @ GayWheels.com
First-Time Look at What We are Researching
by Joe LaMuraglia

Revealing for the first time specifically which vehicles our users are researching, we have just released our list of Top 10 Most Researched Vehicles on Gayhweels.com. This list is noteworthy for a myriad of reasons; the most interesting being that all the vehilces on the Top 10 list, and the Top 20 for that matter, are from gay-friendly manufacturers.

Gaywheels.com Top 10 Most Researched Vehicles

1 Saturn Sky
2 Toyota Yaris
3 Dodge Caliber
4 Volkswagen Jetta
5 Toyota Camry
6 Audi A3
7 Toyota Prius
8 Saab 9-3 (sedan and convertible)
9 Pontiac G6 (sedan, coupe and convertible)
10 Mazda MX-5

Notice also that the Top 10 aren't all luxury brands or from manufacturers that one would normally associate with the gay consumer. The fact of the matter is, we are a very diverse group of people united by sexual orientation. We represent every ethnicity, income group and live in 99% of the counties in the U.S. Statistically, we have a higher disposable income and like to spend more on luxury goods but there are those amongst us that are perfectly happy with more affordable products. The most important fact revealed in this data is that our community clearly supports companies that treat us with respect. And for that, we thank all the gay-friendly companies in all industries in the U.S.

Gaywheels.com classifies all vehicle manufacturers as gay-friendly or not based on their corporate policies for offering domestic-partner benefits to their employees in the U.S. The Most Researched list is based on website statistics gathered from April 1 – June 30, 2006 from Gaywheels.com New Car section powered by Edmunds.com data.

lmao is this for real? I thought I read somewhere a while back on here that Scion was to target the "gay segment" of the auto market?

Cool T'is 4 Real

& I am shocked that the Jetta is not #1.

Lexus & Scion are supposed to be targeting this deomgraphic -- they better get on the ball bc they are no where to be found on the list. Interestingly, neither is Honda/Acura, Nissan/Infiniti, BMW or Mercedes Benz.

It isn't about being gay. It's about appealing to the masses.

Although the gay population is relatively small, they do make a big impact on society. Any company that addresses the needs of a minority group is typically favored well, as it promotes community and diversity, not exclusivity.

NONSENSE. There is no such thing as " Gay Wheels ". Somebody here is trying to make a list of so-called " stereotypes " about they THINK gay people drive, not realizing that for the most part they drive pretty much the same vehicles everyone else does....and of course, what they can afford.

Yup that list is based on volume, so of course volume cars get to be on the list.

Oh BTW, remind me not to buy a Camry when I need a new car.

My lesbian friends ride an Acura Integra (she's femme), a Harley Fat Boy (she's butch), and a Pontiac Vibe (she's a convert from heteros).

I don't see them driving any of those cars listed above...
