C&D Review: 2007 ES350 (6.2s 0-60)
C&D had a test review of the 2007 ES350 in their latest issue.
They said in conclusion that it was the near perfect cruiser to go from point A or point B in comfort.
They did have some complaints:
1) The more powerful engine resulted in more torque steer than the previous model.
2) Lexus told them that handling and suspension were tightened, but they couldn't tell any improvement. Handling was as sluggish as the previous model.
3) Jerkiness that could be felt through the steering wheel when going over imperfections (they said that Camrys and ES330 did this as well), without giving the driver any road feedback.
BTW, 0-60 was 6.2s. I forgot the 1/4 mile. I'll post more when I get home.

I agree, too much power+ FWD= a mess. I don't care who makes it.

There are FWD A4s, the stock 1.8 now 2.0 for example.
THe RL is AWD but 70/30 FWD bias.
I think the GS is 30/70 RWD bias.

They wanted to give it a sportier appeal, but the thing corners like an elephant, and it appears its lack of balance contributes to this. A 5 series is fun to drive, a GS, well, isn't.

GS not fun to drive? You ever driven a 430?
Anyway, this thread is about ES350. Its faster, cheaper, more reliable and luxorious than 525 and 530.

And definitely sure, given the car to the same driver with certain degree of driving skill, the 530 and even the 520 will be faster and quicker in the mountain roads, and stops quicker as well.
I lost track on what CHIS350 is trying to say.
