Nissan goes crazy with trademarks: DX35, EX35, PX35, WX35
On July 27, 2006, Nissan trademarked the following:
DX35
EX35
PX35
WX35
What could it be for? The "X" denotes that this is an SUV or crossover of some sort.
1) This is for the SUV that was to be the CX25/35, but they are having doubts about the moniker CX. However, note that Nissan did NOT trademark the "25" of the above (i.e., DX25, etc.).
2) Infiniti SUV based on the Pathfinder. (Unlikely, since truck-based V6 SUVs use the 4.0 VQ.)
3) Infiniti SUV based on the next Murano, AWD only. Go up against the RX/MDX directly.
