Dream Duo: Mercedes Unviles Its Cabrio and Coup CLK63 AMG
Mercedes is releasing a CLK63 AMG Coupe and Cabriolet in Europe; they'll come to the U.S. during the course of the 2007 model year.

STUTTGART, Germany — Mercedes-Benz has lifted the curtain on two new entries in the CLK range: the CLK63 AMG Coupe and Cabriolet.
The CLK63 AMG, with its normally aspirated 6.2-liter V8, replaces the CLK55 AMG. The new engine makes 481 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a new AMG Speedshift version of the Mercedes 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic, with shift paddles mounted on the AMG sport steering wheel.
The CLK63 AMG gets a retuned sport suspension and rides on 18-inch, 5-spoke light-alloy wheels. A new AMG high-performance composite brake system is also fitted.
AMG has revised the CLK's aero body kit, including a new front apron, side air vents and a lip spoiler on the deck lid. The cabin gets new AMG multicontour sport seats trimmed in napa leather.
What this means to you: Look for the latest AMG edition to arrive at U.S. dealers during the 2007 model year.
