This comes on the heels of the announcement that GM and Ford would offer full iPod integration that allows drivers to access their iPods menus, etc via the car audio system controls.

oh man this is great!

I hope they get it in the IS350 asap. Considering how small and stupid of an option it is in the big picture it is important to me still

yes, definitely time, and to be honest, it's too bad late, when companies like bmw they are at least a year ahead... i strongly believe it could have helped lexus quite a bit (and apple too). personally i know if i get a car with ipod capability, i am very inclined to use it a lot

iam still interested on if they will make it an option or part of a package.

i know Mercedes offers it as a option for $300 (canadian). i have itrip fm transmitter, does the job for 1/10th the price. However, u do get to use ur stearing wheel controls if w/ ipod integration and better sound quality.... so iam still on the fence on this one.
