Nope, that's a 200hp car. I was referring to the fact that there is no IS350 AWD.

Lightbulb A Bit More Info

Acura Brings Back the Type S for 2007
After a three-year hiatus, the TL Type-S is back with even more power.
BY JARED GALL
August 2006

For 2007, the Acura TL line will sprout a Type-S boasting a more powerful engine and a sport-tuned suspension. According to The Boston Globe, power output grows to 286, a gain of 28 hp, and torque rises 23 lb-ft. to 256. Previously, Acura offered a TL A-spec handling and appearance package, although it offered no bump in power. While the A-spec was a dealer-installed kit, the Type-S is a factory-produced regular model.

Of course, a sportier car has always entailed more than under-hood muscle to Acura, and this latest Type-S is no different. Suspension firms up all around and gets capped with Type-S specific wheels. Astute observers will notice the Type-S wears a mesh grille, a subtle spoiler, and quadruple exhaust outlets. Others will be clued in by the more obvious Type-S badging.

Inside, the Type-S invites shenanigans with sporty bucket seats boasting hearty bolstering, stainless steel pedals, and carbon fiber trim. A five-speed automatic will be standard on the Type-S. Thankfully, a six-speed manual also will be available. Pricing on the new Type-S should begin around $39,000.

$39k? Sorry, no way. I'd just haggle and get a RL for 42k. 39k? That is easy IS 350 or 335 money.

Like he said the current one has fog lamps in headlight assembly. Thats what the INNER (closest to the grille part of the headlight is use for).

from the pics, the rims definately make the tl more aggressive compared to the stock rims existing tl's get right now.

This is one vehicle in the Acura line they must ensure success with every new generation.
Please tell me why makes it not smooth? Because my 06 at 3k is still smooth as glass.

IS350 or 335 cant carry the amount of people comfortably a TL can, its a nice breath of life into the aging TL

just like what i said in the beginning. funny when the is350 came out, a lot of TL people bashed saying the is350 loaded for 42k is crazy. well, 39k for the tl-s, i guess we are talking

The thing that struck me about the steering wheel was just how much STUFF is on it. It looks like they're trying to put too many buttons and controls right on the wheel, where simplicity and ergonomics have previously been hallmarks of Honda/Acura design. It's still probably better than iDrive, but it's interesting that Lexus is going to things like hidden compartments to hide the clutter, and Acura is putting tons of buttons literally right at the driver's fingertips.

well but i like the idea that you will be adjusting a lot of things without taking your hands off the steering wheel

Cool Eh

I know the MSRP may say ~39k but something tells me that it will be had @ much less - especially considering what they are selling RLs for.

Unless this is their sneaky backhanded way of getting people to buy RLs ... hmmmmmm

http://autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar.../60808002/1024 still a FWD

the steering wheel does look similar on the 2007 G35 Sedan and the new 2007 TL... and what's up with the same HP for the G35 and the IS350 at 306?? i also see that the guages on the G35 is very similar in color to the IS350..
