You must work for an oil company or deal with them directly or indirectly?

i work for an engineering and contruction company, which survives due to all the refineries and chemical plant work. I live 7 miles from work, gas prices have a very little effect on me, my gas bill is in the double digits per month, I actually get paid more often than I gas up.

FYI if anyone thinking of being an engineer do it now, in the next several years anyone graduating in engineering will get insta-offered when they graduate with lucrative offers, clients have too many projects to do, not enough engineers to do them, projects get delayed because of lack of manpower, therefore guaranteed job security easily for the next 5+ years. Employment competition b/t engineering companies is huge now.

Thanks for the information. I wanted to be an engineer before I started college but I took accounting classes and became an accountant. It definitely sounds fasinating...
