I love it. The current X5 is a beauty and they did not mess it up. The materials inside look top-notch. I love it. The shifter looked like crap in the spy pics, but looks alright here.

I agree that it looks like a bigger x3 due to the way how the sides of the front bumper sort of bulges out. I didn't read the whole schpeal but how are they going to cram a third row in there??????

I just hate the black bumper in the front. They remove it from the X3 and give it to the X5. That makes no sense. I think BMW did that on purpose so they can change it to the color of the car during the mid-cycle refresh.

Here are the pics of the 3rd row and of the cargo space with 2nd and 3rd row seats folded, in case anyone is wondering:
RSES:
Tan interior, much better looking than the ivory one IMHO:

Overall I give it a BIG .
Lexus's got some serious competition here IMO.

I've learned that pioneers get shot (new model buyers) regardless of the manufacturer.. Lexus, BMW, MB all have first year model "issues" that they need to work through.

Add in the high configurability of their cars and BMW's relative reliability compared to MB and other German makes and BMW really starts to shine.
