Something tells me this might be elaborate CGI work ... based on the reflections.

But, if those truly are official - what a great looking update to the current X5. Improvements all around it looks like, including inside. I'm glad they didn't hack up the rear end too badly given that the current X5 has one of the nicest rears of any premium/luxury SUV.

Great find.

suddenly it looks like the x3, which loses a lot of its orginal aggressiveness imho

I don't know, I actually don't mind the X3's exterior design/styling. The problem with the X3 is that the rest of the car is absolute overpriced, underwhelming trash.

The X5 has never had this problem. And I think the styling changes bring the X5 into the fold; BMW's current design direction.

Though the front end, head-on, has lost some of the bite of the current X5, I think the profile of the next-gen is actually quite a bit more aggressive than the current truck.

it is an softer shape, you just dont see on pics here...

for instance:

Interior is simplistic but better than before...

Overall, its pretty nice. Its really an evolution, and its main problem is that original X5 still looks great.

Great looking SUV with a nice interior, but what's up with that shifter?

Very sharp! I like it! The 3rd row seat looks worthless, but at lease they made it fold flat for maximum cargo space.

interior is miles and miles above a 3, should I dare say a BMW interior actually looks decent, black interior pic looks 100x better than the lighter color

My wife owns a 2003 X5 and we are ready to ditch it because of its limited rear cargo space. The new one you are showing does not look all that much bigger. I have no idea how they will cram a 3rd row in the back. It will be interesting to see. I do like the new interior .
