ES heavy front-end accident

oh no!
...echoing the thoughts of many on CL and especially the ES forum, I'm glad you're alright. I am definitely feeling your pain on the ride however. I sincerely hope the car makes it through the mess and you return to the ES forum. Not to make light of the situation at all, but even in the accident, your car looked freshly detailed and sparkling. Keep us updated and best wishes on a speedy recovery.

Thank you all for the kind words and thoughts. Very much appreciated, and this is what I love about ClubLexus
So far it's only been a couple days, and I have already authorized the towing company to release my car to my insurance so they can get a full assessment of the damages and repairs. I'm still praying the total value for repairs will be higher than the ACV (actual cash value) of the ES300. It had around 126,560 miles at the time of the accident. I will definitely keep you all posted on any developments, and in the meantime I've been driving around in my wife's Corolla. It's slower than the ES but has better gas mileage

Damn Doug, I just saw this thread for the first time and couldn't believe my eyes. I thought I was still asleep and just having a bad dream. I'm so sorry to hear about what happened, but I'm also very glad to hear that you made it out ok. I am sorry to see, though, your ES in that condition. It seems her future is a grim one.
... so does this mean you'll be moving on to ES number 3 soon? You wouldn't dare abandon us FWD outcasts would you?

so sorry to see your pride and joy totaled. I am glad you are ok. I am shocked that your car came out with that much damage. I don't see how your car was beat that bad. Was it a side impact up front, or did you not get out of the way in time. She must have been flying!!!
