ES heavy front-end accident

Thanks man, I haven't heard from you in a long while but hope everything is OK on your end. Yeah, everything is in working order with the "new-to-me" G35, and I just can't say how I feel so lucky to not only be alive, but also land a generous check from the insurance and treat myself to a far better ride than the ES. I'm really loving the sportiness and driveability of the G35, not to mention the tougher brakes and quick acceleration. My new ride is shown below in case any of you guys didn't realize the car I replaced.

Doug,
first off as everyone said, props for steppin up and being a man about your accident. Secondly, I wish I could have given you an idea of how well Safeco takes care of it's customers after an accident. When I wrecked my GS3 a few years back, they hooked me up really well too. It's worth the extra premiums vs. GEICO or a similar ins co.
Lastly, nice choice on the G35...you have to be very pleased w/ the acceleration.
Sorry for getting to your thread so late, I barely spend any time in the ES forum.
I remember you were there for me after my ride was totalled, bro.
Peace,
Eric

wow
im sorry to hear about your loss man.
i got in to an accident about a year ago.
i had a pearl white 1993 Infiniti J30t.
only had about 93 thousand miles on it. i rearended an SUV from it being wet out and my wheels locked up.
it was totaled. but if it wasnt for that. i wouldn't be on this forum talking to people about my 93 ES300.
glad to hear no one was seriously hurt in the accident.

I think the Lexus's have good safety and impact capabilities..
I have seen a few hits on the GS that have been very major but the interior still looked untouched..
even with the ES...seems the body absorbed the hit from the mustang pretty welll...and Doug was ok..so ::thumbsup::

Just saw this thread as well.
Sorry to hear that you seeming to have to pay for a hefty outcome for what appeared to be a non-serious mistake that some of us could've made.
The most important thing is that both you and the other driver are not physically injury in this crash.
It's hard to see such a well maintained Lexus go away. But as long as you're doing okay, anything that's material can easily be replaced or duplicated.
