All-new Acura MDX released (UPDATE - More Reviews)

Ok, I'm not loving it, but I always reserve judgement until I see it in person (LOVE THE INTERIOR HOWEVER).
I just asked my wife to look at it (she drives a 2006 MDX) and her comment was "It is nice!". So there you have it from a MDX owner - she likes.

Dude, I usually agree with you 100% but I do think the MDX being a SUV, will sell. It seems no matter what the prices is for these things and whomever makes it, it will sell. Honestly, I expect this to meet and beat sales expectations. The exterior, IMO looks good (I find the precious one disgusting as well as the RD-X)
The interior is 10 steps better (Is that real wood though?) and 300hp has a nice ring to it, even if its a V-6 in such a large truck.

I also never heard anyone cross-shopping the RX, FX or the X5 talking about a MDX. The previous generation probably wasn't as competitive. This new one might change that but we'll see.

Because they are different segments. The MDX with 3 rows is a totally different car than the RX, FX, and X5. If you need three rows (and if you have 2 or more kids with friends then you do), then the RX, FX, and X5 are not on your shopping list - and vice versa.

The next X5 will have 3 rows...
Why would anyone cross shop the RX with either the FX or X5? The more logical choice would be the current MDX, but with this new iteration, even that comparison wouldn't make sense.

We crossed shopped the RX330 and MDX. Personally, I like the MDX over all better because of the better performance and more muscular looks, but I also like our RX looks as well. WE bought the RX330 for a couple of main reasons. The HIDs which the MDX didn't come with and the power rear hatch.
