Is it @ all possible for u to step up to an '06 Civic SI, its better than both of those cars IMO. Not sure if u forgot about the good ole SI or if it is out of ur budget I understand. After the SI I take the RSX-S w A-Spec Pack.

yea we do have a set budget, its a just a car my dad needs cause his truck brokedown and my lil brothers future car.

My dad really likes the RSX but i got him to take a peep at the S2000.

Ill see if they like the 06 Civic SI coupe.

Persoanlly, if you don't need a back seat I'd take the S2000 anyday. I'm not saying one is better or faster or any of that stuff. The S2000 although is a front mounted engine arguably is considered a mid engine car because be definition the majority of the engine is mounted between the axles. It definately drives and behaves more like a traditional rear mid engine RWD car than a front mounted RWD car. Also, it is RWD as I just mentioned. The S2000 too me is the closest thing to the drive of an NSX. Personally, I haven't had the chance to really drive and S2000, but from some of my friends that own both NSX and S2000 the drivability of the S2000 can be better at times than the NSX.

S2000 but considering this may be a future car for someone who is still learning to drive (I assume) RWD is not ideal. And it will definetly insue lots of high speed driving.

S2k... was never a fan of the RSX nor civic SI. S2k is a true sportscar...although maybe too much of a sportscar for the average driver.

well we were looking at high end bmws and mercedes and lexus as cars mainly the is350 and gs430 for my mom, but then my brother will drive in 2 years or so my brother will start driving so he would get my parents cars so my dad decided to go a used route, hes not "the average driver", hes pretty experienced and the last sports car he got before switchin to family SUV was a Nissan 240SX TT.

I agree with Koma. I assume that when you mention about "lil brother" that means he's still a teen waiting for his driver licence. The S2000 can become a "cult" car, something that you can keep in the garage and can become a classic one day. It's a pity to let a rookie practice driving on it and somehow get it abused and scratched. In this case, the RSX may be a better choice, although I think neither car is really suitable for new drivers.

How about a brand-new GTI instead? It's practical, safe, and fun to drive, and you won't feel too much a pain if something happened to the car compare to the S2000

S2000.
Aspec was very overpriced for what you get. Hell it was in near new S2000 territory. 4k+ in upgrades NOT including installation.

Now it was a Type-R.......

S2K. no question. I had RSX, and it was a fun car. But I choose S2K over that anyday.

if I were looking for a S2k, I'd get 2004 or later model. (1). better engine: 2.2L instead of 2.0L. (2). revised transmission: carbon synchronizers instead of brass synchronizers

for the price of a S2k, I'd get a TSX a-spec 6 speed.
