The Phateon is really sucking - even the Q outsold it.

Take a closer look at the Lexus numbers - they are not so hot actually. Every model is down except for the new ES and IS. In fact the ES sales probably included some ES330s making their showing kind of a mystery (I honestly expected to see close to a 10K month for this car). Looks to me like the entire increase in Lexus sales is due to the IS.

I do expect the new LS kick some butt. However, I don't think the market for the new GS is going to be what everyone thinks (only so many people buy these cars). Lexus needs to do something with their high end SUVs - and quick. Look at what MB is doing with the M, GL, and R class - very nice and consistent.

Doug, Lexus is going to be the sales leader for the 7th year in a row, not sure how you can say sales are not hot.

The Acura TL is just a complete homerun for the company. Lincoln Zephyr sales are right on the Acura TSXs butt! X-type=lmao

This is interesting. Huge drop of 1000k units from 2nd to 3rd (E class to GS). BMW holds the top spot here as well. Amazing. If the competiton doesn't come out with wagons and more engine offerings, they will never topple them in sales. Another Jag with only 400+ sales, sad. I think we are beating up the GS. This is a car that has not overwhelmed the press, even we don't see it as a huge jump over the 2GS and is one of the underpowered cars in its class, and it just sold 3,000 units. I think that says A LOT about the car.

New S class doing very well, older 7 holding strong, the very old LS is soldering on and we will miss her. So sad, the A8 gets no love in America. Look for the new LS to be the sales king next year.

Exactly what I pointed out - for the month, two cars held steady (ES/RX), one car sold 700% higher than before, and the 6 others were in decline (10-53%).

True, however the fact is, Lexus will be the sales leader 7 years in a row, so no matter how you do the math, sales are still hot, otherwise, they would lose that title.

Didn't the M beat the GS by a few units a couple months this year (IMO a pretty big accomplishment)?
Id say no showroom traffic. If it really was a matter of prestige, then the M wouldnt have outsold or been very close to the GS sales for so many months.

Now that the sedan lineup is nearly completely overhauled, perhaps we'll see a change in Lexus' sedan/SUV ratio.

Anything for you, baby.

LS (Lexus, not Lincoln) still selling well considering its age.

lol. lol. lol.
Poor Lexus. Gotta feel it for those guys eh?.
I wonder when are they going to go out of business.

Now, I bet that doesnt have anything to do with poor BMW sales, which dropped significantly, 2nd month in the row, while Lexus sales rose?

hihihi

BMW down due to inventory it seems, no worry here

Benz having a solid month. Now its their trucks carrying them (Lexus had their trucks carry them the last few years, not sedans)

Acura, lol, the discontinued RSX was the only one with a sales increase.

Infiniti is in WORSE trouble. They are pretty much back to where they started before Ghosen. A new G35 sedan ain't going to save them, its a very competitive segment. The GT-R will be a badged Nissan. Very sad. Down 26% in a month. That has got to have dealers near suicidal.
IS sales were also very good this month. ES sales I think are capped by production.

Infiniti really is in a bad spot, and yes, the new G won't be enough to help them. In fact, it remains to be seen how the new G's familiar or "recycled" styling will be met with consumers.
