If you had to buy a SUV in the next 8-10 months what would you buy?

Can any of you guys get these 05/06 suvs and some others for under $50k that he mentioned (unless used) ?
If ipod is important, then lexus suvs are out (unless you go aftermarket).
Seems like most of the suvs are mentioned already.
That Q7 looks mighty good, but I think it starts at $47k?
Another one that mmarshall will recommend is the subaru outback, but may not have the height clearance like an suv???

Why didn't Lexus put ipod in the RX? It's almost the year 2007 and cars like the GTi or Fit have it.

The Outback has as much ground clearance as many pure SUV's ( I went through snow a foot deep last winter with mine with no wheelspin at all ) and is an excellent choice if you don't need to carry a lot or tow heavy things, but if you do, than the base non-turbo 4 with automatic / AWD is a little low on power and you don't have as quite as much room inside as vehicles like the Highlander, Pilot, RAV4, etc......

My personal pick would be an RX 350, a used RX 330/300, Highlander or RAV4...

I'm not sure about the new 07 MDX, but the previous gen was based off the Ody chassis since the MDX came out a few years after.
I'd personally look into the Acura RDX, RX350, and new MDX. I already have a RX330 so personally I'd probably look at either the RDX or MDX as there isn't enough upgrades in the RX350 over the RX330 to make me want to buy another one. I do love the extra power though, but the MDX got that beat as well as the performance in the RDX seems to match the RX350 as well in early testing.
