GX seems smaller and narrower in the picture.... But, it has hugh interior space compare to X5!! My kids love the extra room in GX!!

X5 is not a family car... It's driver friendly car...
I don't think BMW paid much attention to the passengers either...

I do miss the BMW handling though... I'm having hard time cornering with my new GX... I better learn to slow down a little...

It makes me sad when I see the previous 5 series compared to the current fugly one which I can never get used to . . .
I'm suprise most on this borad still like the E39 5 series.. i had 3.. from 528 to 540/6 to M5.. I pick up my first E39 in Augest 1996.. that was 10 years ago.. in Europe it came out about a year before it was release in US.. it is almost 11 years old design.. i thought they look kinda dated...? no?

When a design is successful, you'll always get a following. I still love the e34, which is my favorite bimmer of all time. I still prefer the styling of the e34 over the e39, although both look a bit dated (the e34 looking just plain old now). When the original 540 came out, I fell in love with it. I get hooked, kinda why I still have my SC300 I guess...

Maybe, but still looks way better than the current 5 to me. That new design just looks ugly to me nomatter how hard I try to like it, & particularly the interior, it already looks dated to me when it was newly introduced.

Nice cars hsk73 for some reason the BMW's look better in the pictures though , must be the lighting or the height difference between the GS and GX. But I like the Lexus'es better, those two would be my choice of car/suv too.

I like the Lexus garge the 3rd gen GS is one of those cars that just what the women looks for in a car. By the way I help build the X5 so I have to go with the X5.

I like the BMW garage better.. especially because of the X5.
older 5 series still look more classy than the new GS. BMW's timeless design really works.

Great pictures hsk

Didn't get to welcome you over in the gx forum.

I like both the before and after

I agree that the gx seems "friendlier" in the family dept. than the x5.

My after picture is somewhat like yours, except for the 2nd gen GS. I can't give up my 2nd gen gs

Here's my choice:

Left Side of the Garage: Toyota Supra
Right Side of the Garage: Lexus GS
Left Side Driverway: Lexus GX

Otherwise, I'd stick with the setup you have now.

GREAT CHOICE OF CARS!!!
